Use Metro and get to Mardi Gras the easy way


There are many ways to get to Saint Louis Mardi Gras and many places to park your vehicle. The best way to get to Mardi Gras is by leaving your car at home. That’s right, you may not want to bring your wheels. There are plenty of ways to get here without them. 


REsident Information

Soulard & LaSalle Park Residents - Yellow Zone Access and Parking Passes were mailed Monday, February 13. You should receive them by the end of the week (February 18), if you have not received them by Monday, February 20 or have more than two vehicles that need on-street parking please come by the office at 2200 Dolman.

For Drivers: Ramp Closures

The following ramps will be closed on Grand Parade Day, Saturday, February 25, 2017.

  • 3200 Broadway NB55 206B at 6:00 a.m
  • Gravois/Russell NB55 207A at 1:00 p.m.
  • 7th and Park  NB55 208 at 6:00 a.m.
  • 7th and Park SB55 208 at 6:00 a.m.
  • 6th Street EB64 40B at 6:00 a.m.

Please remember to pay attention to signs. White Sign is No Parking. Yellow sign is Permit Parking Only.

Taking a cab is a safe and easy way to get to and from Mardi Gras. Call County and Yellow Cab at 314-991-5300 or download their app ST LOUIS TAXI and get dropped off in the heart of the action. Metro transit is the most convenient way to get from your neighborhood to ours while avoiding the hassles of traffic, street closures and parking. On Saturday, February 25th special Mardi Gras shuttles will operate every 15 minutes from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. between the Stadium Station (at the corner of  8th and Spruce Streets) to 10th Street in the Soulard neighborhood, in the heart of the action by the Soulard Farmer’s Market. The cost of a round-trip shuttle ticket is $6, and they can be purchased on Saturday at the Stadium MetroLink Station.

** Please note: Metro Bus will be located on Clark between 8th and 9th.

Park in one of the many lots on Laclede’s Landing or take the MetroLink to the Arch-Landing stop and catch the FREE Mardi Gras shuttle at 2nd Street and Morgan on Saturday, February 25th. Shuttle drop off is located at, 3rd and Lafayette in Soulard. Shuttle will run all day from 9:30am until 10:30pm.

If you’re looking for a place to continue the party when Soulard closes, don’t forget, Laclede’s Landing, open until 3am, is the official after-party destination for Mardi Gras. Historic Laclede’s Landing, located along the Mississippi River is lined with cobblestone streets and century-old buildings. The Landing is home to unique restaurants, specialty shops, riverboat gaming, carriage ride excursions and the city’s premiere collection of nightclubs. If you are a Soulard resident, you are already in the heart of the action. Please check your door knob and mailbox for information on parking in the neighborhood. The Red Zone and Yellow Zone are designed to make your movement on grand parade day as easy as possible.

Parking passes are being mailed to residents the week of February 6th. If you do not receive your passes by February 13th, come to the Mardi Gras Inc. office at 2200 Dolman. Staff will be available for this purpose Monday, February 20th through Wednesday, February 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Secured parking located 1 block from parade route on 3rd street between Sidney and Lynch with restrooms available. $25.00 to park all day and tailgating is allowed. Please call 314-664-4200 to reserve a spot. Party buses are welcome. Lot opens at 6:00 am on February 25th.


Park for a Cause:  THIS SATURDAY (Feb. 25)

Secured parking is available at St. Louis College Prep located at the intersection of Truman Pkwy. & Park Ave. (1224 Grattan St.).  Only $20 to park per vehicle and $5 per person for a shuttle to drop you in the heart of the action!  The lot will be guarded by an off-duty police officer from 9:00AM - 8:00PM.  Look for the signs & volunteers directing you to our LARGE parking lot.
